WHY DID WE START THIS COMPANY?

To have fun.

We thought that it would be fun to build a whisky distillery. Create our very own Single Malt Whisky… that’s got to be fun.

Building a team of talented people and working and playing with them is a lot of fun. 

Raising investment has been incredibly good fun. 

Creating and launching products, and watching the world’s reaction… that’s very very good fun. That’s probably the most fun. 

Launch parties, opening parties, birthday parties, random parties. They’re all very good fun. There’s going to be a lot of those over the years.

So How Do we make this fun?

By sticking to our values.

  • 1. We Focus on products that we love.

    We make things because they interest us and we love them and we think others will love them.

    And when other people do love them, that feels incredibly good.

  • 2. We're realistic.

    We agree on achievable targets and goals, and we’re realistic about the resources required to achieve them.

  • 3. We keep our conscience clear.

    If we harm our environment, we’ll feel bad about it. If we protect and even enhance our environment, we feel pretty good about it.

    If our workplace was dirty and unsafe, we’d feel nervous and worried. If it’s clean and safe, we feel proud of it.

  • 4. We achieve everything as a team.

    It feels good to be a dedicated member of a successful and effective team.

    You respect your team, move with the team, push the team, communicate with the team and support the team.

    Your team respects you, consults you before making a move, communicates with you and supports you.

  • 5. We deal with the difficult stuff first.

    Some of the stuff we have to do isn’t fun. Sometimes things go wrong.

    Before you do anything else, respond to the request, have the conversation, fix the problem.

    If it’s too much to deal with alone, ask for help.

  • 6. We spend our money on the right things.

    We earn profits from generating sales and protecting costs. We must consider the value of every investment carefully.

    Every single person in the company plays their part.

    Every single person is rewarded when it goes well.

  • 7. We invite our friends to parties.

    We want to party with the people who love our products.

    We want to party with the people we collaborate with.

    We want to party with the people we work with.

    We generally want to party a lot. And play ping-pong
